Course summary

This MA in Architecture and Urbanism builds on UEL’s strong legacy in computational design, inspired by the work of the late senior lecturer Paul Coates. You’ll explore parametric and object-oriented design alongside cutting-edge digital tools for modelling, making, and visualising.

Whether you want to broaden your skills or go deeper into a specialism, this one-year architecture and urbanism course will prepare you for careers in computational design, digital and robotic construction, or urban design.

It’s ideal for architecture graduates or professionals in planning, engineering, or related fields who want to master advanced architectural and urban design skills.

Through a shared digital platform, you’ll learn to simulate real-world design workflows used in leading architecture practices. You'll experiment with new ways of shaping spaces and cities, linking design with advanced fabrication and sustainable strategies that make a real impact.
