Delve into the dynamic world of animal science and management with our comprehensive Foundation Degree programme, designed to unlock a multitude of career opportunities. Whether your passion lies in animal welfare, education, companion animals, or beyond, this course equips you with the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in the diverse animal industry.
You will be exposed to the fundamentals of animal husbandry, welfare, behaviour, physiology, conservation and management, guided by expert academics dedicated to your success. This course is not just about theory; our programme places a strong emphasis on skill development, from honing essential communication, IT, and teamwork abilities to mastering practical skills such as animal handling, health assessment, and behaviour evaluation. This programme offers students the opportunity to study a range of animal species.
You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in real-world learning experiences through work placements, where you'll gain invaluable on-the-job training which could further enhance your employability. Whether you're training animals, designing animal accommodations, or assessing animal welfare and husbandry these placements can provide a crucial bridge between classroom learning and professional practice.
Your learning would also be facilitated through access to a range of range of on-site resources, including a BIAZA accredited Wildlife Park, Equestrian Centre, Commercial Farm and a Science Centre with specialist laboratories.
