About this course
Develop advanced expertise at the heart of the UK’s rapidly growing ‘Energy Estuary’ with Hull’s MSc Civil Engineering programme. Designed for future leaders in infrastructure and construction, this course focuses on sustainability, innovation, and resilience - preparing you to address global challenges such as climate change, urbanisation, and resource management.
You’ll build on core civil engineering principles through advanced study in structural analysis, materials testing, geotechnics, and CAD and 3D modelling, using industry-standard tools like AutoCAD Civil and Autodesk Civil 3D. With access to modern facilities including the Material Lab, Geotechnics Lab, and Digital Design Studios, you’ll gain hands-on experience that mirrors professional practice.
Situated in one of the UK’s most dynamic engineering regions, Hull offers exceptional links to industry partners such as Spencer Group, ARUP, Mott MacDonald, Sewell Group, Orsted, and Siemens. Site visits, real-world projects, and industry collaborations ensure your learning stays connected to cutting-edge practice.
