Learn fundamental mathematical concepts and hone your problem solving abilities in your first year, developing programming skills using Python and R, and learn to present your work as a professional mathematician using LaTeX.

Alongside, gain a foundational knowledge of microeconomic and macroeconomic analysis and their roles in economic policy making and analysis.

In your second and third years, you’ll have the freedom to choose from in-depth optional modules across both subjects to find a balance that suits your interests and aspirations.

You’ll also have the opportunity to opt to do a year-long work placement after your second year. This is a great opportunity to get paid work experience with employers in the UK, allowing you to test out a career path, build up your CV and grow your network of contacts.
