Why study audio and music technology?
The UK's audio and music industries are evolving rapidly, with a growing demand for skilled professionals in technical sound engineering, live events, broadcast production, and audio innovation.
Accredited by Joint Audio Media Education Support (JAMES), our BSc (Hons) Audio and Music Technology degree is aimed at those interested in the technical side of studios and live sound.
You'll focus on audio engineering throughout your study, developing your core technical and craft skills in sound recording, mixing and mastering, with advanced practices in live events, broadcasting, acoustics, and emerging audio technologies.
Collaborate with students on BSc(Hons) Creative Music Technology in optional modules in music production, media sound, technology development, research and enterprise, which challenge you to innovate and explore future-facing audio practices.
