Course summary

The BSc (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Skills Top-up course will enable students to build upon and further their knowledge gained from study at Level 4 and 5, whilst supporting them to continue to develop their skills as counsellors. The course supports students to develop their research skills, whilst exploring contemporary developments within the field of counselling and psychotherapy.

The BSc (Hons) top up provides a bespoke opportunity to have an enhanced Counselling and Psychotherapeutic skills qualification, where students have the opportunity to explore and reflect on their current practices. Gain in-depth knowledge and advances on further counselling modalities including expressive therapies and CBT, as well as managing their own research project in their own area of interest, contributing to the wider research of Counselling and Psychotherapy as a whole.

Foundation Degree or equivalent qualification in Counselling or similar. Applicants who possess significant professional experience and a level 5 Counselling Diploma may be considered for entry following an interview.
