Scholarship information

The award 

The Undergraduate Global Scholarship is awarded to students who either meet or exceed the published entry requirements on entry. Eligible students will be awarded £3,000 per annum for every year studied (up to 4 years, not including placement years).  

Eligibility 

  • Enrolled undergraduate international students who meet or exceed the published entry requirements (as per the website for the year of entry) will automatically be awarded the scholarship as a tuition fee discount.
  • Only self-funding international students are eligible and you must be confirmed as an overseas student for fee paying purposes. The scholarship is not open to students who are in receipt of funding from external bodies such as local Government, charities or private organisations.
  • The scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students who will be based at Keele University and start their studies in September 2026. The award cannot be used for any other year of entry.
  • One-year top-up degree courses are also eligible for the Scholarship, as long as all course and applicant-related terms and conditions are met.
  • This award is available for up to 4 years (not including placement years) 

Exceptions 

The scholarship is not available for students on the following programmes: 

  • entering Foundation Year study
  • Medicine
  • Programmes delivered through the Harper and Keele Veterinary School 

The scholarship is not available for students studying fully online courses delivered by Keele. 

  

Progression from Keele University International College (KUIC) 

KUIC Foundation year 

Students who successfully complete the Foundation Year with Keele University International College (KUIC) will qualify for the Undergraduate Global Scholarship. Your scholarship will be applied to your student record as you progress to Keele University from your KUIC pathway.  

KUIC International Year 1 

Students who successfully complete the International Year 1 with Keele University International College (KUIC) will progress to year 2 of the undergraduate degree at Keele and will qualify at the year 2 stage of the Undergraduate Global Scholarship. Your scholarship will be applied to your student record as you progress to Keele University from your KUIC pathway. 

 

Progression from other pathway providers 

Foundation year 

Students who successfully complete the Foundation Year, and meet the conditions of their offer, with one of the following pathway providers will qualify for the Undergraduate Global Scholarship: 

  • Northern Consortium UK (NCUK)
  • INTO
  • Education First (EF) 

International Year 1 

Students who successfully complete the International Year 1 with one of the following pathway providers, and meet the conditions of their offer, will progress to year 2 of the undergraduate degree at Keele and will qualify at the year 2 stage of the Undergraduate Global Scholarship: 

  • Northern Consortium UK (NCUK)
  • INTO
  • Education First (EF) 

 

Further information and how to apply 

International students holding offers for selected undergraduate programmes will automatically be considered for the Keele Undergraduate Global Scholarship when we assess your application and receive official evidence of your entry qualifications. You do not need to submit a separate application for this scholarship.  

Qualifying recipients of the scholarship will receive the award in the form of a tuition fee discount. No cash alternative is available and the award cannot be used in place of any required deposit. 

This scholarship cannot be combined with any other awards.
