The Stirlingshire Educational Trust

Scholarship information

Stirlingshire Educational Trust was founded in 1663 by local merchants to assist the poor and is now run by a body of Governors. The Trust is a registered charity and exists to give grants for educational purposes to either individuals or organisations from the area of the County of Stirling.

A grant may be awarded to persons who have been resident in Stirlingshire, either currently or in the past, for a period of at least 5 consecutive years or have been born there. (The County of Stirling includes, for example, Stirling, Falkirk, Kilsyth, Grangemouth, Denny/ Bonnybridge, Polmont and environs but not Dunblane, Callander or Bo’ness - you can contact the office for clarification as to residential qualification).
