About the scholarship 

We have a limited number of partial scholarships worth £2,000 (GBP), available for self-funding students domiciled in Sub-Saharan Africa (see country eligibility below) starting a course at Edinburgh Napier in September 2026 and January 2027. The scholarship is tenable for one academic year. 

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, you must be:

  • domiciled at the time of application in Sub-Saharan Africa, excluding Benin, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo. If you are applying from one of these countries, please refer to our West Africa Scholarship
  • self-funding your course
  • meet the entry criteria for a Bachelors or eligible taught Masters course in September 2026 and January 2027

If you have discounted tuition fees from a partner university or are in receipt of another scholarship, you are not eligible for this scholarship.

Please Note – MRes programmes and the following Masters degrees are not eligible for this award:

  • MBA (Business Leadership and Practice)
  • MBA (Strategic Project Management)
  • MSc Global Hospitality Management (extended)
  • MSc Computing with Professional Placement
  • MSc Pharmaceutical & Analytical Science
