Value
Six undergraduate scholarships, £4,000 towards tuition fees and £10,000 living bursary per year for three years.
Three postgraduate scholarships, £15,000 awarded against the value of tuition fees for the first year of study. The remaining balance will be paid as a cash bursary in one instalment.
Study level
New, full-time undergraduate students in their first year only.
Aim of the programme
From September 2026, Capri will fund six undergraduate scholarships for students enrolling on any full-time undergraduate degree programme in the Manchester Fashion Institute. Successful applicants will also benefit from a mentoring programme, delivered by professionals at Capri Holdings.

Undergraduate
You must:
- Be from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background.
- Hold a firm offer to study a new full-time course in the 2026/27 academic year, excluding foundation year and distance learning, in on one of the following courses:
- Have a household income of £42,875 or less. We’ll check this against your Student Finance application. Please contact us if you will not be applying to Student Finance for a maintenance loan.
- Be a UK student - English, Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish - paying the standard full-time fees, and have a UK Student Support Number.
- Pay for your course yourself, including through a student loan or a payment from your parents. Your course fees must not be paid by a business, charity or other organisation.
Postgraduate
You must:
- Hold a firm offer to study a new full-time course in 2025/26, excluding distance learning, in on one of the following courses:
- Prove your gross income was £42,875 or less in the previous financial year. We’ll accept:
- P60s
- Student Finance Entitlement Letters
- A self-employment tax return
- Be a UK student - English, Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish - paying the standard full-time fees, and have a UK Student Support Number.
- Pay for your course yourself, including through a student loan or a payment from your parents. Your course fees must not be paid by a business, charity or other organisation.
