Octopus Energy Bursary

The Octopus Energy Bursary provides a total cash award of £5,000, distributed in four equal instalments of £1,250 at key progression points throughout your undergraduate degree programme at NMITE. This bursary is designed to recognise and support talented, motivated students who demonstrate strong academic progress and a clear commitment to completing the full three-year programme. The first instalment is paid two weeks after the start of your programme including full attendance at welcome activities; the following instalments are awarded upon the successful completion of each level of study.

This generous cash bursary supports women pursuing a degree in Engineering or Construction Management at NMITE. The aim is to provide more opportunities for women in engineering education – helping to address the current underrepresentation in the field. This scholarship is open to all UK-based and international females. 

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Octopus Solutions Foundation Scholarship, applicants must: 

• Be a Woman
• Be joining as a new NMITE student in September 2026 on an undergraduate degree programme
• Have accepted your formal offer to study
• Note, students studying the NMITE Foundation Year are not eligible
