Abertay IB30+ Scholarship

This is an award of up to £28,000 for prospective new international undergraduate students who earn 30 or more points upon graduation from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The award is for £7,000 per year, for up to a maximum of four years. Successful recipients will have the award deducted from their tuition fees.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Abertay IB30+ Scholarship, you must meet all of the following conditions:

• Be classified as international (Overseas) fee status by Abertay University. 
• Achieve 30 or more diploma points upon graduation from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
• Hold an offer to student on a full-time undergraduate degree, on campus, at Abertay starting in the 2026/27 or 2027/28 academic year.
• Have met all academic conditions attached to your offer of admission for entry to the University as a new full-time student. This includes evidence of essential subjects at S5 or H4. Check course webpages for more details. 

Students who are admitted with advanced entry into Year 2 or above, and who meet the above conditions, will also be eligible for this award.

Please note: Students applying with the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) will also be considered for this scholarship on a case by case basis. 

How to Apply 

No separate application form is required, and you will be assessed for the scholarship based on your application for study. If you meet all the eligibility criteria and are awarded the Abertay IB30+ Scholarship, you will be notified by us by email following your offer of study. Please note:

The Abertay IB30+ Scholarship may be awarded in combination with the Abertay International Scholarship. In this case, the scholarships together will have a combined annual value of £7,000 (£3,000 from the Abertay International Scholarship and £4,000 from the Abertay IB30+ Scholarship).  

Abertay Alumni Discount is not available to international (overseas) fee paying students, and therefore can not be combined with this scholarship.
