When I started uni, I had so many questions and wasn’t always sure where I’d find my place — but getting involved in societies like the Afro Caribbean Medical Society (ACMS) and The Nightingale Society really helped me find my community. I’m passionate about caring for others and making sure people feel seen, especially in healthcare spaces. I didn’t speak much English back then, but I’ve always had a passion for helping people, which is what inspired me to study Mental Health Nursing at King’s College London a dream that I’m really enjoying. The people, the teaching, and the whole university experience have been amazing. In the future, I hope to become either a CBT therapist or a clinical psychologist so I can support others in improving their mental health. I know starting university can feel overwhelming, but with the right mindset and support, it’s a fantastic journey.
