Hi, I’m Izzy, I am in my second year of Health and Social Care at the University of Lincoln. I am currently the course representative for my cohort. I enjoy watching and performing in musical theatre, singing, playing the flute and alto saxophone, I am also teaching myself the clarinet. In the future I want to be an educational psychologist. My journey at King's College London (KCL) has been an exciting exploration of healthcare. I first studied for a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, graduating in 2014, and then worked as a physiotherapist within the NHS. I subsequently returned to KCL in 2020 to pursue an MSc in Pre-Reg Adult Nursing. This led to an incredible opportunity to begin a PhD at The Cicely Saunders Institute, where I now focus my research within the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care.

I live in the University Mountain Halls and I love to read any books that interest me such as Percy Jackson, The Hunger Games and more. I love movies such as Ghostbusters, The Conjuring Movies and others that interest me.

I chose to study Medicine because I love science and art, and Medicine is the perfect combination of both. I particularly love the Brunel MBBS Team-Based Learning model (TBL) as it guides my learning journey as a medical student very well. The early placement opportunity since Year 1 has been the most rewarding learning experience for me.
