Currently doing an MEng of Biomedical Engineering and have been enjoying it so far! I'm interested in going into academia / research and development, with a focus on areas like tissue engineering and cell mechanics.
Blair
Edinburgh Napier University
Cybersecurity & Forensics BEng
Hi! I’m a first year Cybersecurity & Forensics student and a student ambassador. I’ve been interested in tech and security for a long time, and studying this course has really confirmed that I want to build a career in cyber in the future, although I’m still exploring all the different paths the field offers.
As a new student myself, I know how overwhelming it can feel choosing the right course, settling in, or figuring out what to expect on the first week. If you have any questions about the course, university life, or what it’s like starting out in cyber, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to help!

Ema
University of Strathclyde
BEng Biomedical Engineering
I moved to Scotland at the age of twenty and can understand how diffcult it can be, but it also was the best challenge I have ever faced. I do biomedical engineering and want to focus on a combination of electronics and cell biology in the future. I came to this realization from internships and would love to give advice and help in any way I can. I am also passionate about art and crafting in any shape and form and focus a lot on perserving time for hobbies even when the university gets challenging, so we can also have a chat about that! :)

Kunjal
Edinburgh Napier University
Cybersecurity & Forensics BEng
Hi there! My name is Kunjal and I'm currently a third year student at Edinburgh Napier University. As a person who has always been intrigued by data security, I decided to study this interesting course: B(Eng) Cyber Security and Digital Forensics. I have always loved exploring new places and believe me when I say Edinburgh is a beautiful city to explore and living here is a joy. If you have any questions regarding my course, the University or the city in general, feel free to ask!
Omar
Middlesex University
BEng Robotics
I am a Robotics and Mechatronics student who is currently building his career as a future engineer. My plan is to get an engineering chartership after years of industry experience and hopefully live a life of doing what I love.
My core passion is Robotics Engineering, but I admit I am quite eclectic and don't usually stick to just that. For example, in my free time I love to follow courses related to game development so I can get to make cool videogames or following 3D modelling tutorials/projects to make impressive 3D models (which I can also use in games).
Not just that! I have also loved doing origami since I was 7 and have been improving my craft since. I managed to make all kinds of things including: cats, dogs, dragons, unicorns and even a small F1 car at one point. I barely ever sit down to do nothing, thus I do a lot things I find both fun and productive.
University to me has pretty much been doing what I used to like doing in my free time but all the time instead. Every day was a fun day and I'm beyond excited to help others along the way.
Now that I have graduated, sky's the limit and I could not be happier to share and grow my passion.

Swansea University
Materials Science and Engineering, BEng (Hons)
Hi, I'm a second year material science and engineering student at Swansea. I love my course and I'm currently researching for my third year project looking at corrosion. Outside of academics I love anything outdoors and live music
Shiam
University of Surrey
Electronic Engineering with Computer Systems BEng (Hons)
I'm Shiam Rahman, an Electronics engineering and Computer Systems student at University of Surrey. My main focus in engineering is making things, particularly in the area of consumer electronics for entertainment. I enjoy turning ideas into functional electronic products through circuit planning, prototyping, and testing, with an emphasis on reliability, consumer friendliness and real-world use.
With 3 years of strong expertise in media and design, I bring skills in portrait drawing, painting, graphic design (posters, banners, logos), video editing, and 2D animation.
I am currently the Treasurer of the Bangladeshi Society at the University of Surrey and actively engage with PhotoSoc, ArtSoc, and EARS. I also work part-time as a Student Ambassador at the University of Surrey, where I lead campus tours, engage with prospective students, and help organize events. I try to stay as active and involved as possible.
My vision is to make impactful changes in entertainment hardware and software; developing creative products, games, and immersive experiences via VFX and graphic design. Bringing my technical electronics knowledge and creativity in art and software together in one place.
Sri Anshula
Coventry University
Computer Systems Engineering BEng (Hons)
I was born and raised in India, and I have spent the past five to six years living in the UK. Growing up between two countries has given me a strong understanding of different cultures, communities, and perspectives.
I am currently in my second year at university studying computer systems engineering, and I am focused on gaining practical experience through placements or internships. After completing my degree, I hope to continue developing my skills by pursuing a Master’s in a related field, with the aim of building a meaningful and successful career.
Sristee
University of Glasgow
Electronic & Software Engineering [BSc/BEng/MEng]
Hi! I’m Sristee, a 1St year student majoring in Robotics and AI. My university experience is driven by a passion for high-performance engineering and cognitive tech.
Currently, I serve as Vice President of both the Computational Cognition Society and the Robotics Society. I’m also deep into the technical side of student competition; specifically, I’m developing the sensors and circuit design for our Hydrogen Fuel Racing car. When I’m not in the lab, I’m collaborating with the Rocketry Society or working on socially conscious engineering with Handprints e-NABLE Scotland. I’m fascinated by the 'tech-brain' bridge. I want to spend my career exploring the amalgamation of neural signals and robotics essentially finding ways to make technology an intuitive extension of the human body. Whether it's through assistive prosthetics or advanced BCIs (Brain-Computer Interfaces), I want to build the hardware that makes it possible.
I’m happy to chat about:
Getting involved in high-level engineering projects from Year 1.
Balancing leadership roles with a technical workload.
The specifics of circuit design and sensor integration.
The 'Handprints' mission and engineering for social good.
Drop me a message if you want to know what it’s actually like to build the future while getting your degree or any queries about the application process, life in Glasgow, etc
Tamsin
Swansea University
Aerospace Engineering, BEng (Hons)
I’m an aerospace engineering student who loves anything to do with aircraft and flying, but outside of uni I’m usually chasing spontaneous adventures. I’m always up for a last-minute trip somewhere around Wales, whether that’s a beach day, a sunset walk along the coast, or finding a new spot for a bonfire with friends. I love beach volleyball, swimming in the sea and making the most of a sunny day. Mostly I’m here for good people, good laughs, and the kind of friendships where someone says “road trip?” and I grab my keys 😂
Wanita

Ben
University of Glasgow
Physics / Theoretical Physics [BSc/MSci]
I’m a first-generation university student, studying theoretical physics. At school, I became curious as to how we can understand the universe using concepts and equations; so studying physics felt like the thing I should do.
I’m still not sure exactly what I want to do after university - there’s a wide range of research opportunities if I want to stay in physics, but lots of very different careers I could maybe see myself going into instead.
