About us

The University of Brighton is based on the south coast of England, with three campuses in Brighton and one in Eastbourne.

We offer over 200 undergraduate courses in subjects ranging from architecture to midwifery to sports science.

Our courses are designed to develop the knowledge, skills, personal attributes and relevant experiences needed for your future. Every course provides opportunities for work-related learning, and many offer professional accreditation and extended work placements.

At Brighton, you’ll be part of our community where you'll be supported and challenged to thrive. Where your potential is seen and your creativity, resilience and determination is valued. This is a community where you'll belong.

What makes us different

Just like the city we call home, the University of Brighton attracts all kinds of people, often united by a commitment to positive change. It’s forward thinking, leading the way in arts, creative technology and the environment. There are amazing opportunities to build on your studies by getting involved in city life (and its reputation for fun goes without saying). Brighton is a top 10 student city in the UK (and top 100 worldwide) according to the QS rankings.

When you apply to Brighton we want to hear about who you are. Grades are never the whole picture; we’re interested in things like creativity, resourcefulness, persistence and the potential to think big and find new ways of doing things.

You’re guaranteed an offer of a place in our halls. Great locations, all-inclusive rent and ready-made communities can all make your move to student life easier and we’ll aim to offer you a room close to the campus where your course is based.

Brighton put me ahead of the game. It made me focus on the things that I love and helped me to turn that into my career.
