Student support

Your mental health, wellbeing and safety is of paramount importance to the University of Brighton. Diversity and inclusion are at the centre of all of Brighton’s activities, and the university offers support services designed to help you from the day you arrive on campus.

You will have access to a Student Support and Guidance Tutor (SSGT) and a Personal Academic Tutor (PAT). SSGTs are dedicated to supporting any issues that might be impacting your studies, wellbeing or university experience. PATs provide academic advice and work closely with the SSGTs to ensure that you are supported holistically.

If you want to work while you study, there are opportunities to apply for paid roles on campus. These are flexible so you can work around your university schedule and term time. The Careers and Employability team can also provide advice on finding a job in the city and answer any career-related questions. This careers support isn’t just available while you are studying at Brighton – it’s for life.
