University Centre Leeds is well placed in the heart of one of England’s top-ranking student cities. Here students can enjoy many vibrant live music and clubbing venues, over 500 bustling bars and restaurants, cultural excursions to galleries, museums and theatres, as well as a lively sports scene. With a wealth of places to visit and things to do, this thriving student destination has something for everyone.

As well as enjoying all the perks of a big city, UC Leeds students can find home in a close-knit, supportive environment. The Student Support team are on hand to offer support and guidance when it’s needed, from financial and learning advice to mental health and wellbeing services, disability support and careers-related queries.

Students are also automatically enrolled into the Leeds City College Students’ Union. With a wide range of clubs and societies to get involved with, the LCCSU help students to make the most out of their experience and meet others with similar interests.

Campus and facilities

University Centre Leeds’ city-centre campuses boast fantastic industry-standard teaching environments and facilities to learn within real-life work settings.

At Park Lane, students can access a new Teacher Development Centre with its own library, a sector-standard clinical suite and immersive sensory room that simulates a realistic healthcare environment. There are also bespoke laboratory environments equipped with the latest technical apparatus. Students can find accessible and supportive study facilities in the Study Zone and library, including individual and group study spaces with PC and printer access.

At Quarry Hill, creative arts students have access to the professionally equipped Chroma-Q theatre, a costume room, first-class photographic, recording and media-makeup studios, as well as cutting-edge mac computer suites to unleash their creativity. Students will also have training opportunities at Leeds Playhouse, Leeds Conservatoire, Prime Studios and more.
