Summary
Admissions interviews can play a powerful role in driving conversion, yet for many institutions they remain resource heavy, operationally complex, and disruptive for applicants. When interviews are slow or inflexible, they stretch teams, reduce competitiveness, and risk drops in engagement at a critical point in the journey.
In this case study session, the University of Staffordshire will share how it transformed its interview model by introducing asynchronous video interviews as a key part of its Admissions Digital Transformation programme.
The results are already clear: improved accessibility for widening participation applicants, stronger engagement at the interview stage, faster and more consistent decision making, and early gains in conversion.
