This form tells us that you agree to UCAS using your personal information for the following activities and purposes.
This form tells us that as a parent/guardian you agree to UCAS using your child’s personal information for the following activities and purposes.
It'll only take a minute, but it's important to read this Consent Form carefully so that you understand what'll happen to the information we collect as indicated below, and that UCAS may use this information for one or more of the following purposes:
- Photographs/images
- Audio recording
- Video recording
- Case study information
The above activities include photographs, images, recordings and case studies that you submit about yourself to us as well as those that we make that include you.
Purposes
Our footage may be used as content for:
marketing materials
commercial materials
news media outlets
distribution through social media, screenings and exhibitions
Your personal data may be used:
in marketing materials in order to encourage, motivate, inform, or inspire people to consider pursuing educational or career opportunities.
to advertise or promote UCAS’ products and services.
by us and news media outlets for articles, editorials, and other content to inform the public about educational or career experiences or opportunities.
by us on social media platforms, our website and at events.
UCAS is committed to processing personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 and further details, including relevant rights, can be found in our privacy policy.
Declaration
I confirm that I consent to the capture and use of my child's personal data as set out above and grant UCAS the right to use and reproduce those images/recordings and/or information (including by copying, adapting and communication to the public).
If they provide their own content to UCAS I confirm that it's their own work and they have the right to send it to you. If you're in any doubt about whether you have the rights in the content then you shouldn't upload it or send it to us.
If any image, recording or case study in which they feature captures a qualifying performance under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, I authorise UCAS to reproduce, distribute and make available the recording of the performance(s) to the general public.
Withdrawing your consent
Our lawful basis for processing this information is consent, which is obtained before capturing any image, recording or case study information. We'll hold this information together with the information you provide in the consent form.
You may withdraw your consent at any time prior to the photography, recording or production of a case study. Once the images have been published you understand that withdrawing your consent would only relate to the future use of captured information. In limited cases we may be able to withdraw your information from already published material, but this cannot be guaranteed.
