Planned maintenance: 17 – 19 November

We are carrying out planned maintenance on Friday 17 November until Sunday 19 November.

This means at times, you may become disconnected from Apply. Please do not make any changes to your application during the following times:

  • 07:30 – 08:00 on Friday 17 November
  • 07:30 – 08:00 on Saturday 18 November
  • 14:00 – 15:00 on Saturday 18 November

Track will also be unavailable between 09:00 – 11:00 on Saturday 18 November.

The UCAS Teacher Training search tool will be unavailable from 18:00 on Friday 17 November until 23:59 on Sunday 19 November.

Be aware that some course providers might add new tests but, if so, they should be mentioned in the course description.

Well-known tests

Most admissions tests happen at the start of the academic cycle, so if you do need to take one you'll need to register for it early – possibly before you've sent your application off.

Many of the courses that use admissions tests are also the courses that have the 15 October application deadline – so it's worth checking these details in advance.

University of Cambridge

Most applicants need to take a written admission assessment, either pre-interview or at interview. You must be registered for your pre-interview written assessment, separately from your UCAS application. For the BMAT, the deadline for registration is 1 October. For all other pre-interview assessments, the deadline is 18:00 (UK time) on 15 October. For further information, visit the University of Cambridge website.

In addition to your UCAS application, you will need to complete a Supplementary Application Questionnaire (SAQ). Applicants from outside the EU are also required to complete a Cambridge Online Preliminary Application (COPA).

University of Oxford

Most applicants need to take an admissions test. You must be registered for your test/s, separately from your UCAS application. For BMAT, the deadline for registration is 1 October. For LNAT, the deadline for registration is 5 October. For all other tests, the deadline is 18:00 (UK time) on 15 October. For further information, visit the University of Oxford website.
