How will grades be awarded in 2021?

GCSE, AS, and A level exams have been cancelled.

Results will be awarded as teacher assessed grades based on an assessment of existing evidence, including coursework, class tests, controlled assessments, and mock exams.

All external vocational exams are cancelled this year.

When is results day?

Tuesday 10 August  AS and A level results day

Thursday 12 August  GCSE results day

VTQs will be awarded 'on or before' the above dates – confirmation to follow.

Appeals process

CCEA will be working with other AOs to put an appeals process in place – more details to follow on this soon.

The standard post-results services such as access to scripts, reviews of marking, and reviews of moderation will not be available this summer.
