Sharing sponsored content through a multi-channel UCAS campaign

To help students find the right laptop for their needs

UCAS’ Finding their place research shows 50% of students purchase new laptops for university each year. Across different courses, subjects, universities, interests and hobbies, the kind of laptop a student needs varies depending on what they use it for. That’s the question Nvidia wanted to help students with – to support them in finding a laptop that meets their requirements.

2. An informative solution

A content campaign through trusted UCAS channels  

‘Play, learn, and create’ – Nvidia put the different ways students use technology front and centre, with guidance on the sort of laptops that can perform to the levels required. The campaign centred around a sponsored content article within UCAS’ trusted advice and guidance – a hub of support that millions of students access each year.

They created traffic to the content with an email to targeted courses and a paid media campaign on Meta and TikTok to all accepted university applicants.

They backed their activity up with videos created by their influencer pool and shared during the summer when students are preparing to head to university.  

3. Achieving over 32,000 clicks

Positioning Nvidia as a trusted source of technology insight

Sharing sponsored content through UCAS channels helped Nvidia achieve strong engagement with their content. Students know UCAS only shares content that’s relevant to their journey towards university, so they trust the brands we partner with:

  • 45k web page views, 7k clicks, 21-seconds average read time
  • 25k students emailed, 15k opens, 1.1k clicks
  • Ads in newsletters sent to 22k parents and 976k applicants, 700+ clicks
  • 23k impressions of display ads on ucas.com, 4.7k clicks
  • 1.6m impressions on Meta, 14.1k clicks
  • 2.9m impressions on TikTok, 11.4k clicks
