Westminster Parliamentary Constituency dashboard end of cycle 2025

In Scotland, there is a substantial section of higher education that is not included in UCAS' figures. That is mostly full-time higher education provided in further education colleges, which represents around one third of young full-time undergraduate study in Scotland – this proportion varies by geography and background within Scotland. Accordingly, entry rates at a Parliamentary Constituency level in Scotland are affected by this variation in representation.

Updated data methodologies

To keep constituency information accurate, methodology changes have been made to this dashboard. The postcode directory used to link postcodes to constituencies is now refreshed annually, and is currently using the August 2025 refresh: this change affects all data in this dashboard.

Constituency mapping has also changed: previously, all postcodes in a larger area (called an LSOA) were assigned to one constituency - even if some belonged elsewhere. This restriction has now been removed, using updated data from the Office for National Statistics to make boundary lines more accurate.

Both updates mean that some figures for earlier years (2016–2024) may differ slightly from previously published dashboards.
