Summary
Whilst the 2025 entry admissions cycle has provided a much greater number of opportunities for students to secure offers from high-tariff providers, there remains a number of courses and universities where the level of competition, when set alongside the limited number of places available, means that securing an offer will require a great deal more than completing the UCAS application. This session will explore the use of admissions tests, interviews and other additional selection tools and assist advisers and teachers in understanding how highly competitive and oversubscribed degree programmes use the available evidence to make nuanced but fair admissions decisions.
