Summary
Allied healthcare professions, including physiotherapy, radiography and occupational therapy, offer diverse and rewarding career paths, but many students are unaware of the full range of options or what these roles truly involve. This session will help teachers and advisers feel more confident in guiding students through the decision-making and application process.
We'll take a look at the range of healthcare careers through the NHS, take a deep dive into radiography as a career and a study discipline, and look at what makes a great application for an allied health programme. You'll come away with a better understanding of the range of options available to your students within the allied health sphere, as well as tips on how to guide them to careers and courses to meet their skillsets with a focus on real world examples. We'll also talk through the varying routes and paths into the professions with tips for how to make a strong application woven throughout.
