This session is designed for teachers and advisors supporting students interested in pursuing a career in Veterinary Medicine. We'll begin by demystifying what a Vet Med degree entails and the unique demands of the profession.
You’ll gain key insights into the selection process, including the importance of academic excellence, personal statements, admissions tests, and interview performance. We’ll walk through a timeline of preparation, starting as early as Key Stage 3, the role of work experience, strategic subject choices, and interventions to ensure students meet essential GCSE and A-level criteria.
The session will also explore what makes an applicant stand out as well as practical tools and strategies to help you confidently support students through interview preparation, and understand how your guidance can directly impact application success.
