Course summary

3rd for Career after 15 months for Computer Science and Information Systems*

Artificial intelligence and data science have a pivotal role in driving a new era of innovation in computer science, public healthcare, manufacturing, and transport. This programme equips you with research, design, and development skills to apply artificial intelligence techniques in the context of industrial and business solutions. It inspires you to critically think about the relationships between AI and human societies whilst addressing legal, ethical, and environmental challenges.

In our state-of-the-art AI lab, you will develop and deploy applied AI solutions individually and as part of a team. There are opportunities to participate industrial events and guest lectures from AI experts from around the world. As a member of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Academy, the programme includes AWS accredited cloud computing courses to prepare students for industry-recognised certifications and the most in-demand careers in the cloud industry.

We know how competitive the graduate job market can be. The programme covers a range of knowledge and practical skills to help you establishing your career as a machine learning software engineer, solution architect, project manager or a research scientist.
While theories are important for AI solutions, we emphasise on practical learning. You will learn fundamentals and advanced applications of data science and machine learning progressively over the course period using tools such as Python and JAVA. You will be taught through a variety of activities and problem-solving challenges, so that you can apply your knowledge creatively for a career in industry or research.
