Law with Psychology

Law is about people as much as it is about rules. On this LLB Law with Psychology degree, you will combine a qualifying law degree with an understanding of human behaviour, exploring how decisions are made, interpreted and judged.

At Southampton, ranked among the top 10 in the UK for Law and Psychology and 6th for graduate prospects, you will study how legal systems operate while gaining insight into the psychological factors that shape actions and outcomes.

This is one of only a small number of programmes in the UK to bring these subjects together. You will build a strong foundation in law while developing your knowledge of psychology, giving you a broader perspective on issues such as decision-making, behaviour and justice.

Your learning is shaped by research-active academics and designed to prepare you for a wide range of careers, from the legal profession to roles where understanding people and behaviour is key.

Work alongside legal professionals in the Law Clinic, advising on areas such as housing, business and family law

Modules are assessed through exams and/or written assignments. Your dissertation also contributes to your final degree classification. You will receive feedback on your progress from your tutors and formative assessments will help you identify areas for improvement.
