Course summary

Do you aspire to lead teams, support organisational growth and shape the future of the workplace? If you are decisive, organised and an effective communicator, and you know how to bring out the best in people, a career in management and human resources could be the ideal fit.

The MSc Management (Human Resource Management) at Swansea University is designed for students who want to understand the human side of business. You’ll explore how people and organisations operate, studying key areas such as leadership, organisational behaviour and managing human dynamics in an increasingly global and digital business environment.

Alongside your HRM focus, you’ll develop a solid foundation in essential management disciplines, including managing financial resources in a digital world, sustainable operations management, managing people and performance and marketing strategy. This broad grounding equips you with the strategic insight needed to thrive in modern organisations.

This programme is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the UK’s only chartered professional body dedicated to excellence in management and leadership. Open to graduates from any discipline, the course provides a valuable route into business and management careers. On successful completion of the relevant mapped modules, you will also achieve the CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership, giving you an additional, industry-recognised qualification.
