This two-year Higher National Diploma combines practical experience with theoretical knowledge in areas like physiology, nutrition, psychology, coaching and rehabilitation. You'll gain the skills, experience and confidence to work in a range of roles across sport and physical activity — or progress to a full honours degree.

You’ll study the practical elements of your course at Leigh Sports Village, a state-of-the-art sporting facility and home to Leigh Leopards Rugby Team. This gives you access to industry-standard amenities for sport, physical activity, and education.
The theory-based elements of the course are delivered at Leigh Adult Learning Centre, giving you access to excellent academic facilities in a supportive environment.
This course follows a combined pathway, with both mandatory and optional modules that give you flexibility while covering key areas of sport and exercise science.
