The BA (Hons) Education (Top-Up) with Pathways is designed to develop highly skilled and well-qualified practitioners working with children in the 5-19 years age range. This one-year programme builds on your existing studies and experience, enabling you to extend your knowledge, skills, and confidence to progress into advanced roles within education and early years practice.
You will explore contemporary educational issues and policies, considering their impact on your role and on the learning and development of young children. The programme also deepens your understanding of child development, inclusive practice, and the professional values required to work effectively in education.
Although the course does not include a formal placement, students are expected to be working or volunteering in a relevant setting. These may include primary schools, nurseries, pre-schools, playgroups, after-school clubs, or children’s centres.
