Course Modules

Dissertation

Morality And Personality - This module will examine the study of the individual and the various motives for the actions an individual takes.

Advanced Professional And Personal Development - This module will continue to build on personal awareness and development of the counsellor through experiential activities to facilitate movement and growth.

Supervision in counselling and psychotherapy - This module represents the skills-in-practice component of the course and aims to lay the foundations for effective and ethical supervisory practice

Working with Trauma - This module will equip trainee therapists to work with trauma and develop an understanding of the psychological disorders and symptoms including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)

Assessment is designed to showcase both your academic knowledge and professional competence. You will complete a variety of tasks, including essays, case studies, and reflective journals, allowing you to demonstrate critical understanding and self-awareness. Practical assessments will focus on counselling skills, observed in our dedicated counselling pods to mirror professional practice.

A key element of the course is an independent research project, giving you the opportunity to explore a topic of personal and professional interest in depth. Assessments are structured to build confidence, preparing you to progress into advanced study or professional counselling roles.
