Course summary

Ranked 1st in the UK for Management by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025

Our Business Foundation Year has been developed to prepare you for degree-level study. If you were unable to meet the standard entry-level requirements for degree-level stud due challenging circumstances, our foundation year business courses are designed to provide an accessible pathway into higher education.

The Foundation year allows you to build a strong base of business knowledge, improve key academic skills and familiarise yourself with the university environment before advancing to our undergraduate courses.

You will develop valuable skills such as teamwork, presenting, time management, problem solving, decision making, and also build your confidence. During the Foundation Year you will be part of a small community working closely together on group projects. The course also involves working with external organisations to give you a better understanding of how business works.

If you successfully complete the Foundation Year, you will automatically join our direct entry students following the course structure for Management.
