Course summary

In these uncertain times, it is more important than ever to understand how politics works so we can seek better ways to organise our societies. As the world’s first Department of International Politics, Aberystwyth University have been pioneers in the study of political power for over 100 years. On the BA Politics degree, we build on this legacy today by exploring the key dynamics which shape our world, such as ideologies, political economy, social hierarchies and liberal institutions.

A minimum grade C or grade 4 pass in GCSE (or equivalent) English or Welsh is a requirement for entry to all our degree schemes.
