London
To successfully launch a new brand or collection, fashion marketers must keep track of the latest trends and continually seek creative ways to tell stories, build brand reputations, influence customers and generate sales.
You’ll be introduced to the structure of the fashion industry and learn how teams build strategies to ensure a seamless transition from concept to customer. Using market research, you’ll also learn how to analyse and evaluate consumer behaviour (including why and how they purchase products), forecast new trends and develop innovative strategies to entice new customers.
Focusing on creative storytelling, you’ll learn how to communicate the message behind or collection, and effectively promote brands’ personalities and values – exploring a range of innovative techniques including the use of influencers, collaborations, pop-ups and social media.
In your first year, you’ll analyse and evaluate stories used in current campaigns. In your second year, you’ll experiment with re-telling existing stories and in your final year you’ll focus on creating stories from scratch – sourcing your own ideas, collaborating with peers and producing engaging, multi-channel campaigns.
Why study Fashion Marketing in London?
Studying in London gives you the chance to get involved with a wide variety of campaigns, shoots, collaborations and events (from London Fashion Week to the Dezeen Design Festival) and you’ll be encouraged to regularly visit exhibitions, enter competitions and join internships – developing new relationships and gaining first-hand experience.
The course places a keen emphasis on an appropriate balance between theoretical and academic standpoints and ‘real-life’ industry applications and contexts. During your time at Regent’s, you’ll take advantage of access to industry resources such as Fashion Monitor (an influencer marketing tool), work on a range of live marketing briefs and hear first-hand accounts from practiced experts – gaining industry experience and building a network of contacts.
