Course summary

Dyma gwrs sy’n ymateb i’r galw cynyddol gan gyflogwyr am fyfyrwyr sydd â safon uchel o sgiliau yn y Gymraeg y gellir eu cymhwyso’n rhwydd i’r gweithle. Byddwch yn astudio amryw o feysydd sy’n ymwneud ag iaith a llenyddiaeth Gymraeg gyda phwyslais mawr ar agweddau ymarferol a galwedigaethol. Bydd y cwrs hefyd yn rhoi cyfle i chi fynd ar brofiad gwaith gyda chyflogwyr sy’n defnyddio’r Gymraeg yn broffesiynol o ddydd i ddydd. A hoffech weithio mewn meysydd fel y diwydiannau creadigol a’r sector treftadaeth, darlledu a’r cyfryngau, cysylltiadau cyhoeddus a marchnata, cyfieithu, cynllunio ieithyddol a gweinyddu cyhoeddus? Bydd y cwrs hwn yn fan cychwyn ardderchog i chi anelu at yrfa yn un o’r meysydd hyn.

Mae’r Gymraeg yn cael ei siarad yng ngogledd-orllewin Cymru yn fwy nag unrhyw le arall yn y byd, ac mae hynny’n cynnig cyfleoedd heb eu hail i wella eich hyfedredd yn y defnydd proffesiynol o’r Gymraeg. Bydd y cwrs yn eich galluogi i ymchwilio’n annibynnol, i feddwl yn wreiddiol, i ddod i adnabod llenyddiaeth Gymraeg a diwylliant Cymru mewn dyfnder ac i feistroli gwahanol gyweiriau’r iaith i ddibenion proffesiynol a galwedigaethol.  Cewch ymwybyddiaeth hefyd o’r Gymraeg mewn cyd-destunau rhyngwladol ehangach. Beth yw perthynas y Gymraeg ag ieithoedd eraill y byd? Sut mae ffawd yr iaith yn cymharu ag ieithoedd fel Basgeg a Gwyddeleg? Sut mae llenorion a beirdd Cymru wedi ymateb i themâu byd-eang fel caethwasiaeth, yr Holocost a her ecolegol y byd modern diwydiannol?

Derbynnir myfyrwyr o gefndiroedd iaith gyntaf ac ail iaith i ddilyn y cwrs hwn. Mae’n ddilyniant naturiol hefyd i fyfyrwyr a ddilynodd y flwyddyn sylfaen Cymraeg i Ddechreuwyr. Mae’n addas yn ogystal i rai a gyrhaeddodd lefel hyfedredd mewn Cymraeg, e.e. drwy Gyrsiau Dysgu Cymraeg y Ganolfan Dysgu Cymraeg Genedlaethol.

Mae opsiynau 'Blwyddyn Profiad Rhyngwladol' a 'Blwyddyn ar Leoliad' ar gael ar gyfer y cwrs hwn. Bydd gennych y cyfle i ystyried yr opsiynau hyn yn llawn ar ôl cychwyn eich cwrs ym Mangor a gallwch wneud cais i drosglwyddo i un o’r opsiynau yma ar yr adeg priodol. Mae mwy o wybodaeth am yr opsiynau hyn ar ein gwefan, ac mae croeso i chi gysylltu â ni os oes gennych unrhyw ymholiad.

Os nad oes gennych mo'r cymwysterau gofynnol ar gyfer cwrs lefel gradd hwn, neu os ydych am fynd yn ôl i addysg yn dilyn cyfnod i ffwrdd, yna gall Rhaglen Blwyddyn Sylfaen fod y dewis iawn i chi. Gwnewch gais am Cymraeg i ddechreuwyr (gyda Blwyddyn Sylfaen) Q565.
