Course summary

The Computing and Creative Design course has been designed due industry demand. There is a need for Software Developers who have a background in creative design, and this course will provide you with an exciting blend of technical and creative subjects to meet this demand.

The course will provide you will the skills to develop inventive software solutions using a range of programming skills, whilst also exploring appropriate design methods, utilising a range of cutting-edge tools and techniques in our state-of-the-art labs. These labs will allow you to learn on the latest computer hardware and make use of industry-standard software.

You will be supported through lectures and practical sessions, which aim to provide you with opportunities to engage with real-world problems and encourage your academic growth.

to include two further passes to include English and Maths at GCSE grade 5/C if not held at A Level.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DMM

Preferably to be held in Computing or a related discipline.

Scottish Higher - BBCC

to include two further passes to include English and Maths at National 5 grade C or above if not held at Higher.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 26 points

to include a pass in Standard Level English and Maths at grade 4 or above if not held at Higher Level.

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) - H3, H3, H3, H3

to include two further passes to include English and Maths at grade O3 or above if not held at Higher.

Foundation Apprenticeship (SCQF Level 6) - Pass

• May be accepted in combination with SQA Highers

T Level - M

Preferably to be held in Computing or a related discipline.
