Course summary
Aeronautical engineering is about how aircrafts are designed, constructed and powered, how they are used and how they are controlled for safe operation.
Why study this course at the University of Glasgow?
You’ll take part in practical laboratories, including running a jet engine test, and a flight-testing course in a Saab 340B aircraft during year 5 of the MEng. There are contributions to aircraft design classes by engineers from the industrial sector and, whenever possible, visits to industrial sites. The school also sponsors student teams for national (IMechE) and international (AIAA) competitions.
