Course summary

Artificial Intelligence is transforming every sector, from healthcare and finance to autonomous systems and intelligent data analysis. This integrated master's degree combines strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, programming and software engineering with advanced study of machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, agentic AI and multi-agent systems.

You will learn through lectures, tutorials, supervised laboratory sessions, group projects and substantial individual project work, applying AI techniques to real-world challenges throughout your studies. Teaching is informed by the University's AI research expertise, ensuring you gain experience of the latest developments in the field.

A key feature of this route is the opportunity to spend a year in industry, gaining valuable professional experience and developing your technical skills in a real-world setting. The course culminates in a substantial 450-hour individual AI project, helping you graduate with advanced specialist knowledge and a strong portfolio for careers in AI and related technologies.
