Course summary
Our MA Film (Editing) course helps you develop the advanced skills and knowledge needed to succeed as a professional film editor. You'll gain hands-on experience, explore creative techniques, and sharpen your critical thinking to meet industry standards and make a real impact in film editing.
You'll work directly with other students and industry professionals, sharpening your editing skills and gaining real-world experience through collaboration.

Assessment method
Your assessment will be based on practical tasks from live briefs and production projects (70%), along with written reflections and critical analysis of your work (30%).

A minimum 2:2 Honours degree in a relevant discipline or appropriate professional qualification; or an HND/HNC and relevant experience; or equivalent international qualifications. Those without such qualifications will be considered on an individual basis, where prior experience will be taken into account.
