Games Design and Creative Writing

Open up a world of opportunity in one of the UK's fastest developing creative industries with this hands-on degree at the University of Hull.

This new course is one of only a handful in the country to combine the technological skills of game design with the ability to write compelling stories and narratives – helping you to create even better games.

You'll be taught by BAFTA-winning experts and published authors – plus get to use industry-standard facilities and software – and study topics such as Narrative Design, Game Scripting, and Genre Fiction alongside more traditional modules on game design and development.

You'll be assessed through a combination of written, practical and coursework assessments throughout your degree.

Written assessment typically includes exams and multiple choice tests.

Practical is an assessment of your skills and competencies. This could include presentations, school experience, work experience or laboratory work.

Coursework typically includes essays, written assignments, dissertations, research projects or producing a portfolio of your work.
