Our diverse programme allows you to combine the study of Spanish with International Relations.
Combining advanced language skills with global affairs, our International Relations with Spanish BA offers an interdisciplinary approach that makes you a versatile asset to organisations. You'll spend a year abroad, immerse yourself in Spanish-speaking culture, and return to complete an independent dissertation. With opportunities to explore global issues, develop critical thinking, and engage in real-world experiences like Model NATO, this course prepares you for a successful international career. You'll also have the opportunity to tailor the learning to your interests and aspirations thanks to a wide range of optional modules.
The third year is spent studying at a European university. You will spend one third of your time in language studies and two thirds taking courses in international relations. When you return to Birmingham for your fourth year, you will study advanced courses in your language and in international affairs.
