Through an inspiring blend of studio training, live performance, and creative development, you’ll explore a range of dance styles including contemporary, classical, musical theatre, and choreographic practice. You’ll work on exciting collaborative projects that mirror professional environments, gaining the confidence and experience needed to thrive in today’s performing arts landscape.
You will explore all aspects of dance and theatre practice, ranging from technique and performance skill development, workshop creation and leadership, dance for camera, as well as examining your wider career opportunities.
Alongside developing your dance technique, you’ll refine key skills such as communication, teamwork, discipline, and creative problem-solving — all essential for further study or a career in the arts.

Take your performance to new heights with the Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Dance — an advanced course for dancers ready to push boundaries, further strengthen their technique, and develop their unique creative identity.
Building on the foundation of Level 4, this dynamic programme deepens your technical, creative, and analytical skills, preparing you for professional performance or progression to Level 6 study. You’ll study a range of specialist dance areas, from choreography and creative exploration to performance and professional practice, gaining the confidence to make bold artistic choices and take ownership of your creative journey.
You will continue to refine your technique and performance skills in all disciplines, further improving and applying the skills you developed on Level 4, whilst simultaneously continuing to cultivate your own creativity across all areas ensuring you have the breadth of skills to really impact your adaptability and employability.
Through a mix of studio training, theoretical study, and live performance opportunities, you’ll learn to critically evaluate your work, experiment with innovative movement ideas, and perform with authenticity and precision.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a clear sense of your artistic direction within the dance profession — along with the skills, creativity, and professionalism to thrive in the wider performing arts and creative industries.
