  • Undertake a truly innovative programme of English study that merges classics with the exploration of new, experimental fields of literature

  • Read everything from Renaissance drama to modernist poetry while developing your knowledge of literary history and theory

  • Study texts from a broad range of literary periods through the prisms of identity, race, gender and ideology

  • Work with world-leading researchers, prize-winning novelists and poets and experts on literature, language, writing and theory

  • Learn how to express yourself and construct arguments verbally and in writing while developing skills transferable to a number of industries and fields

  • Cultivate employable skills in written and verbal communication, analysis of complex cultural ideas and creative thinking.
