Course Overview

This course is taught through block learning. Find out more at https://www.lancashire.ac.uk/study/block-learning

Our Sports Therapy foundation year is a great option if you don't have the grades to directly join the degree course. You'll gain academic skills and cover current sport topics.

Our foundation year prepares you to study at degree level. You’ll learn how to research topics and write academically. You’ll gain key skills like taking notes, personal reflection and groupwork. These skills will help you succeed in university and beyond.

You’ll explore current issues in sport and wellbeing. This will help to build your understanding of the field as a whole. You’ll then choose a topic that interests you as the subject for your project or portfolio.

Upon successful completion of your foundation year, you can progress to the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy degree. This will give you the specialist skills and knowledge to manage an injured athlete's rehabilitation and recovery. You'll also help athletes reach their peak performance.

You could also progress onto:

Football Studies BSc (Hons)
Physical Education and Sport BA (Hons)
Sport Business Management BSc (Hons)
Sport Coaching BSc (Hons)
Sport and Exercise Science BSc (Hons)
Leadership through Outdoor Adventure BA (Hons)
Nutrition BSc (Hons)
