The HNC is a standalone higher education qualification and also forms Year 1 of a three‑year BA (Hons) Acting degree pathway, progressing through the HND to a BA (Hons) Top Up.

Audition
As part of your application to the HNC in Acting, you’ll be invited to take part in an audition designed to showcase your talent. You’ will be asked to prepare and perform two contrasting monologues: A least one must be from a play written after 2000. The monologue should reflect your age and life experience. Ideally, the character should be speaking to another character (not the audience) NB: Both prepared pieces should be no longer than two minutes.
