About this course
This course offers professional skills such as news and feature writing, the latest digital techniques, broadcast journalism, media law and shorthand. You will be taught by practising journalists and have access to a newsroom with industry-standard software. Working for a live news website, the Kingston Courier, you will produce and edit multimedia content on everything from news to sports. You will also design and produce a newspaper supplement.

Entry requirements

We normally expect candidates to have:

a 2:2 or above honours degree or equivalent in an essay-writing subject, demonstrating high standards of literacy. Alternatively, evidence of substantial and demonstrable professional commitment to journalism will be considered.

Applicants who meet entry criteria will be short-listed for a required interview and test accordingly.
