Course summary

Study Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Aston University and develop the skills needed to design and apply modern electronic systems. This course combines applied, project-based learning with industry-informed teaching.

  • Focus on electrical systems, electronics and embedded technologies

  • Applied learning through labs and engineering challenges

  • Optional placement year providing industry experience

  • Development of Aston Power Skills alongside technical expertise

Students have completed placements with organisations including Siemens, Jaguar Land Rover and Network Rail.

Graduates have progressed into roles such as electrical engineer and control systems engineer.

Integrated master’s (MEng) option provides additional advanced study, enabling deeper technical specialisation and enhanced preparation for professional engineering roles.
