Ethics, Religion and Philosophy

BA (Hons) Ethics, Religion and Philosophy invites to you dive into some of the most important and fascinating questions humans have ever asked: How should we act? Are there objective moral truths? What does it mean for something to be divine? From day one, you’ll take part in meaningful debates about ethics, belief, and human purpose, developing your ability to think critically and understand different perspectives.

You’ll build a solid grounding in ethical theory, world religions, and philosophical thought whilst you explore contemporary issues like social inequality, human rights, religious discrimination, and our impact on the planet. As you develop your knowledge, you’ll study moral philosophy, insights from global religious traditions, and philosophical responses to today’s biggest challenges.

Throughout your degree, you'll be encouraged to find your own voice as a thinker by working with our expert academics, who specialise in areas such as moral theory and the philosophy of religion. Assessments are shaped with real world use in mind, helping you learn how to apply complex ideas to practical situations, engage with new perspectives, and communicate effectively.
